Chinese New Year Calendar / Chinese Near Year Date
Chinese New Year arrives at the first day of a year in Chinese Lunar Calendar, usually somewhere between January and February in Western calendar. Chinese calendar is based on a cycle of 10 Heavenly Stems and a cycle of 12 Earthly Branches. Each year is named by a pair of one stem and one branch called a Stem-Branch. The Earthly Branches are associated with the twelve signs of the Chinese Zodiac Animals.
